Introducing the Inner Balance Center: A Family Legacy in Massage Therapy

Our story began in 1998, when Mark Bourdette, a seasoned massage therapist, envisioned a place that prioritized the genuine well-being of its clients over commercial interests. Family was always at the heart of Inner Balance Center. Mark's vision wasn't to create just another spa, but a sanctuary that resonated with family values and personal touch.

Today, this legacy is carried forward by me, Cassie, along with my brother Ryan and my sister-in-law, Samantha. Having grown up in the soothing ambiance of Inner Balance, Ryan and I have fond memories of our teenage years working at the reception. Those were the days when Samantha, then Ryan's girlfriend, would drop by for lunch, filling the center with her warmth. While Ryan has since become a geotechnical engineer, his connection to Inner Balance remains unwavering. Samantha, with her impeccable managerial skills, now dons the role of our operations manager and receptionist.

What sets us apart is our intimate understanding of both our employees' and clients' needs. Unlike impersonal, factory-like massage centers, our family's involvement ensures a personal touch in every aspect. This personal commitment is evident in our stringent hiring process. Every massage therapist we onboard goes through a rigorous interview, conducted personally by me, to ensure they possess deep knowledge of anatomy and a mastery over modalities like Deep Tissue massages. Our clients deserve nothing but the best, and we refuse to compromise.

Over the years, Inner Balance Center has seen its share of challenges, notably during the pandemic. But like the resilient family we are, we emerged stronger. We moved from our 23-year location in Pacific Beach to a fresh start in Bay Park. This shift brought new vitality to our establishment. From offering complimentary hot towels with every massage to expanding our workspace, updating our logo, and launching a revamped website, we're evolving while holding onto our core values. Our long-standing clients, many of whom have trusted us for a quarter of a century, can vouch for our consistency in providing full session times and unparalleled Deep Tissue massages. We've never believed in upselling, forcing memberships, or setting quotas for our team. Our focus remains on quality, care, and genuine well-being.
